For this assignment, you will submit a sample of your writing. Specifically, you are to submit an essay describing what you perceive as the difference between doing nursing and being a nurse. This is not a research paper, so there is no need to provide any citations or direct quotations. You will be writing from your experience and observations. Keep in mind that tasks do not define a professional.
Your essay should:
• be between 2-3 paragraphs in length
• be double-spaced and in Times New Roman 12-point font
• include a title page (see Section 2.3 Title Page Elements and Sample Student Title Page, figure 2.2 in Manual)
• because you are writing about your experience, you may use first person for this assignment
• have a formal tone devoid of slang and jargon
• use clear and concise language
• leave your reader with a clear understanding of differences between doing nursing and being a nurse.
In order to successfully complete this assignment: read APA sections 2.3 and Chapter 4 Writing Style and Grammar sections 4.1- 4.11 review the Assignment 2 grading rubric take time to brainstorm write a draft reread what you have written revise as necessary, paying close attention to clarity of expression as well as correct use of grammar.
