Assignment:
More than 50 years have passed since the Cuban Revolution. Considering the changes that have taken place in Cuba since 1959, do you think history should absolve Fidel Castro? Was the Revolution a success? Was it worth it?
Either argue that yes history will absolve Fidel Castro (there have been enough improvements from the revolution that they outweigh the costs) or that NO, history will not absolve Fidel. The costs of the revolution have been greater than its gains.
Your written response must be a minimum of 400 words (not including citations).
You must use at least 4 specific examples or pieces of evidence to support your argument.
These 4 specific pieces of evidence must come from at least 4 separate sources.
Sources include the Maestra video, the readings (articles and documents posted HERE), as well as the OUTCOMES lectures posted HERE. Each lecture is a separate source. Include a citation for each piece of evidence/source that you use.
You must include in-text citations (parenthetical or footnotes). If you do not include citations you will automatically lose 1 point.
All assignments must be double spaced. Assignments that are not double spaced will have a 1/2 grade deducted.
