Your critique must include the four sections listed.

Thesis Statement (main idea of your critique, sums up the main points of the critique
Explanation of why you think the article is relevant

Outline main points
Outline results
Outline discussion
Analysis: (Section 3)
Description of problems with the author’s premise, methods, or conclusions
A well-organized argument flows well from one point to the next
Clearly addressed and refers back to the thesis statement of critique
Conclusion: (Section 4)
Overview of the article’s argument
State conclusions based on analysis/critique
Provide your reactions to the article (what you liked and disliked about the article)
