The second tip is purchasing consignment clothing and minimizing the amount of red meat intake. Buying consignment clothing minimizes the need to produce new clothing, thus positively influencing the natural environment, which reduces my carbon footprint in the long run. Additionally, for each day of the week where an individual eliminates red meat intake, the yearly amount of CO2 saved in metric tons is 0.4. this is because shifting one’s diet from red-meat-based foods to plant-based foods helps reduce the emissions that would have occurred throughout the production process of the meat.
