Answers to Risen Questions
Question 1: What plans do governments and organizations have to support implementing, adopting, and utilizing sustainable approaches to curb increased global warming?
The most significant solution to global warming is to transition from participating in activities that fuel climate change. For example, in the textile industry, topics such as increased consumerism affect the climate negatively. The reason is that trends, identity issues, and cultural behaviors result in advanced manufacturing, which significantly fuels global warming. According to Bostrom (2020), people’s lifestyles elevate their purchasing habits in any societal group. For example, trends such as Christmas, Valentine’s, and international days boost buying attitudes. Hence, to minimize the effects of the textile industry on global warming, government advocates advise that organizations engage in sustainable activities, such as making durable garments to reduce production.
Question 2: What reassurance can the government offer parents to mitigate climate change and protect human health?
Notably, excessive production has negative implications on the environment. As a result, most parents worry about the future they might leave their children and subsequent generations in. Currently, lack of awareness has robbed people of the knowledge concerning how significantly pollution fuels climate change (Soares et al., 2021). Hence, most communities engage in behaviors that contribute to the production of materials that harm the environment. For example, the plastic materials, in bottles, utensils, and garments, cause pollution. Therefore, the government is engaging in advocacies that create awareness of the implications of plastics on the ecosystem. In turn, the expected eradication of plastic use will minimize pollution that substantially causes respiratory issues in human beings. For instance, adverts exist on the importance of recycling and reusing household items to reduce the need to dispose of and produce plastic items.
Question 3: Does the government support maintaining fuel competence while strategizing on ways to increase future fuel efficiency?
The primary cause of climate change is carbon pollution emitted by vehicles, which burn gasoline and diesel fuel. Fuel and diesel emissions, in this case, cause respiratory issues for susceptible individuals, which, in turn, increase mortality rates. As a result, the American administration constantly demands that fuel suppliers maintain the fuel standards, where lack of adherence results in banning from selling a specific fuel brand. In its place, American advocates for natural gas, which has fewer emissions and lesser health implications for Americans (Escudero, 2019). In addition, the government extends its advocacies to other nations to decarbonize the gas pipeline system.
Question 4: What policies have been established to ensure that employment opportunities continue to grow?
Most of the policies established to address climate change have created employment opportunities for the unemployed. For example, the government’s advocacies for renewable energy results in job vacancies for a more significant number of people compared to that generated by fossil-fuel generation. According to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (2020), renewable energy companies will employ approximately forty million individuals by 2050. On the other hand, solar energy also targets to create significant amounts of job opportunities for American citizens.
