Review
A Christmas Carol written by Charles Dickens in 1843 is a story that reminds us that no one is all bad, and that we are capable of changing our ways and habits.
A Christmas Carol is about a grumpy, tight-fisted and selfish, melancholy old man called Scrooge. He hates Christmas and is not generous to anyone, even himself. One freezing night he is haunted by three Christmas ghosts who have changed his life significantly. With each ghostly appearance, he transforms into a more charitable and generous person. So, by the third encounter, Scrooge is begging for a second chance, which he is finally given. Ebenezer Scrooge makes use of his second chance and changes his life. He sings, smiles, even laughs! He buys a turkey for the Cratchit family, and he goes to Fred for Christmas dinner.
I guess, that A Christmas Carol is a heartwarming story to read at anytime but especially during the holidays. It is a constant reminder to have a giving and loving spirit. This story causes the warmest emotions and makes us more gracious.
