MODULE 1 INSTRUCTION

1. Examine the four established advanced practice roles certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), Certified nurse-midwives (CNMs), Clinical nurse specialists (CNS), and nurse practitioners (NPs) SLO-1
2. Discuss the various conceptual models of advanced practice nursing (SLO4, SLO5)
3. Explore the definition and scope of practice of advanced practice nursing
4. Analyze the four APN roles
5. Discuss and apply the concepts of role development (role conflict, role acquisition, etc.)
