Introduction: I interview Mrs. T.A. , BSN, APN, she is Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Morristown NJ. She first worked at ER, then she was a nurse on a pediatric unit in the hospital for 12 years. She started being NP 5 years ago and she practices as an NP along with 3 pediatricians and 2 nurses at a private doctor office doing: assessment, patient and family health history, comprehensive physical exams, referral for diagnostic tests, diagnosis, treatment, and follow ups. I interview her in person, and we discuss her experience and barriers she faced when she transitioned from a nurse to the role as an APN.
