1.One major task of computer science is to automate tasks through well-designed software. A calculator makes it easy, for instance, to multiply or divide large numbers, and a spreadsheet program automatically updates tables as new data is entered. We usually would not expect important harms to arise from such calculations. Looking at the reading on automated decision making, explain what is different for the sorts of computing activities discussed in that reading?

2.Suppose you are a senior manager at a large company with many employees who worked remotely during the pandemic. You have recently received a report that worker productivity declined on average 20% during COVID. Considering both privacy and efficiency, what measures would you recommend to improve productivity for remote workers?

3.Assume you work at a consumer genetic testing services company such as 23andme. Assume the company has not previously agreed to sign up to comply with the Privacy Best Practices for Consumer Genetic Testing Services. What are three key issues that your management should consider in deciding whether to have the company agree to comply with these best practices?
