Project II
Event Management & Communication Campaign
Description and Guidelines:
This assignment emphasizes the opportunities for event management within the field of Corporate Communication. In this assignment you will have the opportunity to prepare an event for different corporations.
Identify the most appropriate type of event for a corporation of your choice. For example, a factory tour might be most appropriate for a manufacturer while a banquet might best be host for a non-profit organization seeking donations.
Begin thinking about the real-time planning, logistics, and pressures that go into planning an event. Below, you will find a list of potential events to be considered.
You will also be expected to think about what kinds of contingency or backup plans you would create in case the event does not go as anticipated (and they rarely do!).
Potential events to be considered:
Group Meetings
Banquets
Reception Parties
Conventions
Trade Shows
Promotional Events
Open House and Tours
Elements to be considered in your plan:
These elements are intended to help shape your plan, and although you don’t need to cover each and every point, most will help you through the process. Beyond reviewing the many details covered, you must also consider any additional requirements specific to your event.
