Paper Evaluating the Meeting

For this assignment, you will watch the video attached entitled “Online Meeting Via Zoom with Participants From Around The World” and critique it given the information.

Some things to keep in mind (this is not an exhaustive list, it is just to get you started)

Were the meeting objectives clearly communicated in advance of the meeting?

Were the meeting objectives met?

Were there follow-up actions that arose from the meeting? If so, were people assigned follow-up tasks?

Did the meeting leader effectively moderate the meeting?

Did meeting attendees have an opportunity to participate?

Were the right people invited to the meeting?

Did the meeting last an appropriate amount of time?

Were speakers easily heard?

Was the presentation easily seen?

What was most effective about the meeting?

What was least effective about the meeting?

Etc.

After watching the meeting and taking notes about these things, you are going to type up a 2-3 page paper (typed, double-spaced) reporting on the meeting. Think of this task as you are an outside consultant who is an expert in virtual meetings and have been asked to watch the meeting and provide feedback on what you think worked well and what you think should be done differently going forward. Your paper is a report on your findings.

I would like you to focus on three things…leader, participants, and content. On a scale of 1-10, how would you rank each? Explain. I want you to give specific findings (i.e., person X did ________ very well; or Person X didn’t do well with _________; and defend your answer.

As with any paper, you will have an introduction, body (with your findings), and conclusion (with any takeaways).
