Instructions: (1) Write a thesis statement that explains to your reader (a)

Instructions:

(1) Write a thesis statement that explains to your reader (a) which prompt you selected and (b) the general topics you will explain or assess.

Examples (you’ll have to modify these a bit)

“In this paper I will respond to prompt number __ . I’ll explain some ideas and theories related to ____________, and argue that ___________”.

OR

“I picked prompt number ____”. In this paper I will explain what ___________ is, what the philosopher ___________ says about it, how it differs from __________, then I will argue that __________.”

(2) Write an organizational statement that explains to your reader the organization of the writing tasks.

(3) Think about how you will organize the body of your paper into sections. I recommend using one section for each writing task. Remember a section is different than a paragraph.

(4) Type out a title for each section. Give a once sentence summary of what you will do in each section (of course, you can include more).
