Learning Outcome of Day 1:
The first day of the course was very enriching and knowledgeable, during which I have learned many theories and definitions to give a holistic view on teams and their purpose. Nevertheless, I have learned the different types of teams and how they work. Additionally, by the end of the first day I was able to identify the following:
The most common type of teams in many organizations are cross-functional teams.
The recommended size of a team formulation which can be a key criteria to the success of teams.
The different types of team operation which are self-managed and managed teams. On the same note, when a team have a leader, it is highly expected for the team to clearly set objectives and successfully achieve them.
A corner stone to the success of a team is a clear objective, segregation of duties, and a proper delegation process which puts any team in harmony and sets clear communication among the team.
