Paper #3: Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler
Instructions: Read the following topics carefully and choose ONE. Write a 3-5 page, typed, double-spaced essay that includes an introduction with a thesis statement, body paragraphs with supporting quotations (evidence explained), and a conclusion. Lauren is considered a prophet by many. How prophetic was Octavia
Butler in her depiction of mid-2020s America? Analyze as many examples
as you can find of her uncanny prescience.
