The tool I chose is PKI or Public Key Infrastructure. Specifically, the encrypted emails service that relies on Public Key Infrastructure. The encrypted email services use a set of 2 keys. One key is private, known only by the sender of the email and the other is public key, known only to those that it is distributed to. Encrypting emails will make them unreadable to anyone that intercepts them without the proper keys, protecting any sensitive data contained withing the email. Having an encryption policy in place also helps dramatically decrease successful phishing and other email biased exploitations. Encrypted emails are digitally signed using a digital certificate typically with 2 factor authentication.
