Sociology Project
Due 11/28/22
15% of final grade
Two different options: once you choose the desired project, please inform instructor of choice as all topics must be pre-approved. You may submit a rough copy of your project via email as long as you send one week prior to the due date. I will review all rough copies and provide feedback.
Option # 1
PAPER
You will choose a topic that is relevant to the course and write a 3-4 page paper connecting your topic to what you have learned in the course. In addition to the 3-4 content pages, you will include a title page and a reference page. You must use a minimum of 3 academic references, DO NOT include encyclopedias or textbooks. Internet sources must be professional and pre-approved by the instructor. Paper must be styled in APA format. Do not include opinion unless notified by instructor. Do not copy and paste your project into the submission screen. Must use in-text citation giving credit to your sources throughout your paper.
Option # 2
INTERVIEW
You will interview a person from a cultural background other than yours and write a 2-3 page narrative paper that summarizes the interview. The interview should include one or more questions about every chapter covered in the course. The questions should be included as an appendix to the paper. You will need to obtain written permission from the person you are interviewing to use the material in the interview for the class project. As a summary to your paper you will identify and reflect upon the similarities and differences between your cultural lifestyle and that of the person you have interviewed.
