Contrast Essay, Compare and/or contrast living at home with your parents/guardians to living on your own.

1. An interesting title
2. An introductory paragraph that includes the thesis statement.
3. A thesis statement that reflects the topic, presents your main point, and
prepares your reader for the rest of the paper.
4. Multiple body paragraphs that discuss at least three points of comparison
and/or contrast. Each should develop the thesis through topic sentences and
specific details and explanations for each point.
5. A concluding paragraph
6. A method of organization (point-by-point or whole-to-whole)
7. Transitions between ideas. 

 Use MLA format.
1. Leave 1” margins on all sides. Double-space the text. Indent the first line of the
paragraph ½ inch.
2. Include your last name and the page number in the upper right corner.
3. Include the following double-spaced heading:
Student’s first and last name
Instructor’s name
English 100-(add section number)
Date (for example, 6 June 2019)
4. Center the title. Do not format it in bold, italics, all capital letters, or a bigger
font.
