MODULE 2 INSTRUCTION
I. At the end of this module students will be able to:
1. Describe the domains of leadership competency (SLO-4)
2 Explore the strategies for developing effective leadership skills
3 Examine collaboration between and among individuals and workgroups in organizations (SLO-2; SLO-4)
4. Discuss the conceptualization of APN guidance and coaching that is applied across the setting, patient health status, and transitions. (SLO-5)
5. Formulate strategies for developing APN competencies
6. Differentiate professional coaching from APN guidance and coaching.
II. Read the following early in the week to help you respond to the discussion questions and to complete your assignment(s).
1. Required Textbook Readings: Hamric et al. Chapters 7, 8, 9, 11, and 12
2. Online Lecture Material: Read the PowerPoint lecture material.
III. Answer the questions below
1. Describe the situation in which the competency was used or made visible. (MO2,3.)
2. Did utilization of the leadership or collaboration competency make a difference? (MO 2, 3.)
3. If you were the APN in that situation, how would you have used the competency to enhance the outcome? (MO 5)
