PurposeFor this assignment, you will develop the first part of the data governance plan. In this plan, look at defining the scope, perform assessments, develop a communication plan, align business needs, and identify business value.
Assignment Instructions
A new small business that deals with sensitive data collection and storage needs a data governance plan.
Assume no other artifacts exist for the assignment.
You can choose the country and apply that level of regulation for data governance compliance.
You may make other assumptions as needed and may ask your instructor any questions.
In your plan, include as much as possible concerning the following:
Scope: Cover data governance for collecting and storing data. Data can move within the organization.
Assessments: Cover information management maturity, change capacity, and collaborative readiness. Remember, this is a new organization.
Vision: Cover data governance for the organization and communication plans. In this, include where the business is and where it will be in the future, covering data governance.
