Assignment:
You are given an unknown compound with its chemical formula (stated below) and 1H and 13C NMR
spectra (attached as png files).
(1) Please propose a structure consistent with the data you are given and explain your
interpretation process. (2) Please assign all peaks in the 1H and 13C NMR spectra to the corresponding
protons and carbon atoms in your proposed structure. You need to explain chemical shifts, integrals,
splitting patterns, and coupling constants for each signal if possible.
