Answer one of the following questions for your initial post. Check back at least two other days and respond to at least four of your classmates posts. Be sure to visit your own initial post and respond to any responses received on your own post. If you choose to answer more than one of the questions below, please create a new post for each question answered.
Please address your responses to classmates with the classmate’s name for whom you are responded. (i.e. – Thank you, Susan. I agree with your assessment and I would like to add that….. or Thank you, Isa. While I understand what you are saying, I have a different perspective. I think that….) Be respectful in your responses and use positive language.
Please respond to a classmate that doesn’t yet have a response. In this way, everyone should have at least ONE response to their initial post.
There is no minimum/maximum requirement for words and no formal APA format or citation is required. Please be substantive and thoughtful as you share your views on the topics below.
Please list the question # you will be referring to in your initial post. (i.e. DQ1. I found that …..)
The rubric is attached for your review.
DQ1:
Discuss your own experience with traditional project management at work. Has your organization moved away from traditional in favor of agile or are they still working within the traditional or a hybrid model? Share your experience and how closely the organization fits with PMBOK standards.
DQ2:
Review the various certifications through PMI and discuss the requirements for PMP along with one (1) other certification that you believe would be beneficial for your career goals. What would you need to complete in order to sit for these two exams. Where would you suggest people go to find the experience requirements?
DQ3:
Discuss whether you believe there is still a space for traditional project management in the IT industry and what types of projects may still benefit from this type of methodology. Also, discuss your thoughts on the future of traditional project management and how AI may impact the profession.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FefJ1paq750
SCENARIO:
A city council has established a project proposal team to select a project to improve services to the community. Use a weighted scoring model to analyze three possible projects (A, B, C) for this purpose. The relative weights for each criterion are shown in the following table. A score of 1 represents unfavorable, 2 satisfactory, and 3 favorable.
What needs to be done for the above question is
Create an Excel worksheet and calculate the weighted score for each project – A, B, C. Which project should be completed first?
Discuss how you did your calculations in the comments section when you submit your completed Excel worksheet.
