Country Profile
As we approaching the end of the semester, we will have a closer “statistical” look at the World. Every student will be responsible to prepare a profile for a given country (student names and countries are in the excel file).
The Country Profile Report should include indicators about demographic, socioeconomic, health and education for the given country. ( Jamaica )
Country Profile should include the following information:
Economic indicators: Population size, GDP per capita, inequality of income distribution (Gini index), Consumer price index and inflation rate, Global competitiveness index
Environmental indicators and other topics: Total CO2 emissions, per capita CO2 emissions, and the use of clean energy in the country (solar, winds, nuclear)
Health indicators: life expectancy at birth by gender, infant mortality rate, child mortality rate, Population growth annual% (AAGR), Number of hospital beds per 1000 inhabitants, governmental spending on health
Human development indicators: 2010 Human Development Index and ranking, governmental spending on education, Global Innovation Index, and Happy Planet Index.
you must tell the information of each indicator, the meaning and the value (without calculation) and the rank (on the world), for the given country.
you must indicate the references, the year and the source of the information
