Defending the Faith
This week’s chapel is centered on a sermon given by Dr. Voddie Bauchman. The sermon is entitled “Defending the Faith in a Hostile World”.
The sermon was given at Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
Dr. Bauchman’s ministry reaches across the world. His mission in life is described in this quote from his website.
Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done.” – 1 Chronicles 16:8
This is the mission that God has placed on the heart of all believers and one that Voddie has submitted his life to. From his time pastoring at Grace Family Baptist Church in Texas, to now serving as the Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Zambia, Voddie and his family have gone wholeheartedly after this call to mission.
This sermon is based on a well known passage from the book of Ephesians.

This week’s assignment is to write a one page single spaced paper on the following two questions.
In the sermon Dr. Bauchman refers to the “11th commandment” be kind to one another.
Here are the two questions to answer in the paper.
1. What is the role of kindness in the life of a believer?
2. Under what circumstances can “kindness” limit our defense of the faith?
