  • Review and understand each of the 6 Organizational Levers.
  • Determine how the organization currently operates WITHIN EACH LEVER, in terms of specific practices, policies, and procedures. For example, in regards to the Motivation Lever, what are the motivational programs in place? How are employees rewarded (intrinsic/extrinsic)? Are rewards performance based? Are metrics used to determine rewards? Do reward systems work differently based on employee level/grade?
  • Draft a visual that, similar to the one on page 10 of the article. Clearly label each Lever. Within each Lever (6), include KEY WORDS that depict the primary tone/approach displayed by the organization, within the specific Lever. 
  • Lastly, determine if the organizational practices/policies, as it applies to each lever, are SUPPORTIVE (S) or NOT SUPPORT (NS) of the intended core culture. Simply indicate S or NS.
  • Your Scaffolding Activity #2 submission will be a one-page visual (PPT) similar to the one on page 10, that includes the 6 Levers and the key words that describe the essence of that Lever. Include 4-5 words for each lever.
  • Include the center Core key words, taken from your outcome in Scaffolding Activity #1.
