Selection of Topic
Group 6 proposes to review the ethics related to Covid-19 and business reopening, specifically in the travel industry. It is possible our group could narrow our focus to the airline, hotel, restaurant, or theme park industry, or review the topic of business reopening vs public health across the entire economy. Stakeholder perspectives will include Kraig Link as small business owners trying to reopen to remain in business while balancing the risk to employees and being sued by customers, Robert Mitchell as a school district superintendents balancing the needs of education and safety across a broad population of students and parents with competing concerns, Jeffrey Hanley as public officials protecting general health while mindful of tax revenue shortfalls and skyrocketing unemployment bills, and Euri Beltre as risk adjusters advising businesses on insurance premiums related to proposed reopening activities, trying to meet the needs of clients while protecting the solvency of his underwriters.
