In this online discussion forum, please refer to the Sears department store case in Trevino & Nelson, pp. 289–291. The State of California accused Sears of a departure from accepted trade standards. The Acting Secretary of State indicated that the amount of the final settlement sent a clear message that the state would not tolerate harmful business practices.
In your individual initial post, comment on the ethical environment at Sears and the lack of EACH of Lesson 10’s Key Elements of Ethical Tone (reference Figure 10.1 in course content) by the leadership in the organization.
