Criminal Justice
Deontolgical and teleological may be unfamiliar words, but the concepts that underlie them will be familiar to you. The basic types of ethical systems are deontological systems and teleoogical systems.
A deontological system is one that is concerned solely with the inherent nature of the act being judged. If an act or intent is inherently good (coming from good will), it is still considered a good act even if it results in bad consequences.
A teleological ethical system judges the consequences of the act. Even a bad act, if it results in good consequences, can be defined as good under a teleological system. The saying “the end justifies the means” is a teleological statement.
Above are examples of two different ethical systems give an example for each one.
Discuss the attributes of each ethical system and how it can affect human behavior?
In your examples you may utilize real life situations.
