On-line Discussion – Salary Confidentiality

Organizations have different philosophies on sharing pay information.
1) Would you recommend that an employer require that all salary information be kept confidential? Why or why not?
2) Would the culture of an organization that has pay secrecy be different from one that is transparent about salaries? Please explain your answer.
