Question 3
When an individual tears a hamstring muscle there are certain grades that tears can be classified as – grades 1, 2, and 3. Grade one is what is known as a strain, 2 is a partial tear, and 3 is a full muscle tear. Grade 1 is the less serious class. A pulled hamstring can be caused by exercising without a warm-up first and if you have weak glutes as these muscles work together. If an individual experiences a grade 1 muscle tear, they should use ice packs multiple times a day as well as use compression to aid with the swelling that can accompany it. It is also good to make sure to elevate the leg when sitting down. Some medications can also help with the pain a person is experiencing. Being non-weight-bearing is a good option to help speed up the process of healing.

Question 1
When a woman is pregnant, her body goes through a lot of changes from weight gain, to making extra blood. Additionally, the pelvic muscles can become strained and stretched. The months and months of pregnancy can be hard on a woman, and that is even if she has a good pregnancy. The body will go through so many changes such a pelvic floor weakness. A woman should try to exercise these muscles before becoming pregnant or during pregnancy. During a vaginal birth, there is a risk of damaging the pelvic muscles so a woman who has exercised her pelvic muscles may decrease this risk. A weak pelvic floor can also cause incontinence in women. According to the Australian government website, the earlier a woman starts to adopt these exercises in her routine, the better her outcome will be. After pregnancy, the recovery can be a lot smoother for a woman.
