Task 3: Part B – Daily Assessment Record and Baseline Data

Lesson 1 – 3

These are the picture cards that were used for all three lessons (rake, bus, bee, yo-yo).

Lesson 1: Introductory sentences: The first lesson was writing the introductory sentence at the top of the paper.

Lesson 1 objective: When shown 4-5 picture cards, the focus learner will verbally say what it is and turn that observation into an introductory sentence.

Lesson 2: adding of another element of the Expanding Expressions Tool, after the introduction—the group it belongs to (categorizing the item in the picture card).

Lesson 2 objective: When shown the picture cards from Lesson 1, the focus learner will tell what group each belongs to and write that in the second sentence of their paper. The writing piece about the bus is shown here and the sentences about the groups the bee and yo-yo belong to can be seen underneath with the Lesson 3 pictures.

Lesson 3 added another element of the EET tool (“Blue Do”: What does it do?):

Lesson 3 objective: When shown the picture cards from Lesson 1 and 2, the focus learner will tell what the subject does, or what you can do with it and write that in the third sentence of their paper
